   Ray Navarro (1964-1990) was born on November 6, 1964, and raised in Simi Valley. After attending Otis and CalArts for filmmaking, he moved to New York and became an activist with ACT UP. He founded Diva TV which documented much of ACT Up’s activism during the height of the AIDS crisis. He was diagnosed with AIDS in early 1990 and died later that year at age 26. Guest artist Rubén Esparza is an artist and independent curator in Los Angeles. He is the founder of the Queer Biennial and Queer Caifas.
